From June 10, Japan will resume issuing tourist visas to Russians.
As ATOR reports with reference to the consular department of the Japanese Embassy in Moscow, from June 10, Russians will also be able to visit Japan only as part of organized tourist groups, that is, the trip must be organized by the tour operator.
In connection with this rule, in order to obtain a Japanese visa, a Russian tourist must additionally provide a document from a Japanese travel company, which acts as a guarantor. It is clarified that such a document can be obtained through the Russian tour operator from whom the tour is ordered, he can also organize the procedure for applying for a visa.
In Japan, all quarantine measures for organized groups of tourists are cancelled. All that remains is the requirement to provide a negative PCR test result made 72 hours before departure.
