In July, a new hiking route to the Mutnovsky volcano in Kamchatka will open.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the government of the Kamchatka Territory, within the next two weeks it is planned to passport a new route to the Mutnovsky volcano and open it to the public.
It is specified that in August last year, a collapse occurred on a tourist trail near the volcano, a mud mass formed a jam, where melt water from springs accumulated. Experts carried out work and found that the old route was dangerous, as new collapses were discovered in the crater. In this regard, it was decided to outline a new route for the movement of tourists.
